The Society was alerted by a North Tawton resident who was concerned after hearing that cats in the town has been shot and badly injured with air rifles.
Famous local artists include Ursula Radford who is a member of the naive artists of St Ives, and many others. Don Nicholson will also be painting at the Fair and we hope to have a weaver and a spinner in action.
The annual Everyone’s Embroidery Event presented by members of the Cheriton Bishop, West Country Embroiderers, in the Cheriton Bishop Village Hall. This long established event is popular with those interested in any of the many and varied aspects of embroidery, whether it be, ancient, mediaeval, classic or modern.
In 2011, phase one of Active Villages welcomes Chagford, North Tawton, Lamerton and Dartmoor Forest on board. We are keen to hear from individuals and groups about sports and activities they would like in their community.
