Everyone’s Embroidery Event

West Country Embroiderers

Saturday 16 April, 2011, brings with it the annual Everyone’s Embroidery Event presented by members of the Cheriton Bishop, West Country Embroiderers, in the Cheriton Bishop Village Hall from 10am until 4pm.

This long established event is popular with those interested in any of the many and varied aspects of embroidery, whether it be, ancient, mediaeval, classic or modern.

The exhibition will include work that has been produced over the past year by group members, many of whom will be demonstrating their methods and techniques during the day for visitors to view close at hand and who will be pleased to answer questions. Among them will be Christine Benjamin, using a large loom to create magnificent wall hangings.

Trade stalls are always a feature of the exhibition and this year includes Strawberry Fayre with a selection of materials, Tamar Embroiderers, with a fine collection of handmade buttons etc, Tracey Curtis demonstrating Machine Embroidery and Well Head Books with a comprehensive selection of the latest publications. There will also be a stall specialising in second-hand sought-after materials and equipment for sale

Regular visitors can be assured that a range of sumptuous refreshments will once again be available throughout the day.
