Dowland Country Fair and Dog Show
Due to last years huge success, Dowland are set to present the 2nd Country Fair and Dog Show, bigger and better. Attractions include two Suffolk Punch horses giving cart rides, various birds of prey including baby owls, plus a flying display (weather permitting).
Sheep-shearing shows, exotic animals, hound racing, ferret racing, terrier and lurcher racing as well as the family dog show, terrier and lurcher shows, and ferret show – prizes and rosettes.
Blacksmith with working forge, thatcher, stonemason, vintage tractors and classic cars, trade stands and lots more. There will be a barbecue, cream teas and licensed bar.
This marvellous family fun event will take place on Sunday 19 June 2011, from 11am to 5pm, at Furze Park Cross, nr Winkleigh. EX19 8PG. All are welcome.
Proceeds in aid of St Peter’s Church, Dowland.
