Chagford Cricket Club Youth Initiative
Chagford Cricket Club are keen to inspire youngsters to get involved in the game and would be pleased to welcome more young cricketers as members of their club. Children over the age of seven can go to Chagford on a Friday evening for cricket coaching, from 6pm to 8pm. All levels and abilities are catered for and parents may wait for their children and enjoy the opportunity to get to know others involved with the club, and take part in a game of Volleyball.
Chagford Cricket Club youth initiative is funding after school cricket playing sessions in 3 local Primary schools; Chagford, North Tawton and South Tawton, of which features a schools tournament and club fixtures with other rural communities.
The club has a very positive attitude and works closely with other clubs to share resources, fixtures and in time allowing free flow of players between the clubs, without any form of bad feeling to allow the young players to find the level of cricket that best suits them.
