North Tawton Plastic Recycling Project

Plastic recycling is the process of recovering scrap or waste plastic and reprocessing the material into useful products.

Since plastic is non-biodegradable, recycling helps to reduce plastic in the landfill and waste stream, especially the approximately eight million metric tonnes of waste plastic that enter the Earth’s ocean every year.

North Tawton Plastic Recycling Project commenced November 2015.

Monthly plastic recycling project collection dates are published on North Tawton Events Calendar.

UPDATE

July 2017 – Black Plastic containers no longer accepted due to processing issue.

Feb 2019 – New Time.
