Natural History Museum Summer Dinosaur Exhibition

Design-a-saur or tell a dino tale and win a monster trip through time

Families in Dorset and Devon have the chance to win tickets to the summer blockbuster exhibition Age of the Dinosaur now on at London’s Natural History Museum. The Jurassic Coast has teamed up with the Natural History Museum and First Great Western to offer three sets of family tickets plus train travel to the lucky winners of an exciting kids’ competition.

By drawing their own dinosaur, designing a poster for a Jurassic journey or writing a dinosaur story, children in three age groups could win two adult and three child tickets to the exhibition as well as complimentary train tickets to London and back.

Age of the Dinosaur

Age of the Dinosaur is the Natural History Museum’s big family experience for the summer. Visitors will journey back more than 65 million years to meet some giant prehistoric beasts, walk through a swamp-like Jurassic forest and Cretaceous desert and catch sight of weird, wonderful and now extinct animals and plants among the smells and sounds of this prehistoric land.

Amazing life-size, animatronic dinosaurs including a Gallimimus, Protoceratops, Camarasaurus, Oviraptor, Velociraptor, and Tarbosaurus will emerge from the rocks, water and trees. Visitors can investigate precious fossils, handle specimen replicas and examine evidence to find out what the world looked like when dinosaurs walked on Earth. Jaw-dropping images and film footage, with fantastic interactive challenges, create an exciting, immersive experience like never before at the museum.

The competition, being run by the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site team, is part of a long-term collaboration with the world-famous London museum. The winning families will also have the chance to explore the rest of the museum, where some of the most spectacular fossils from the Jurassic Coast are displayed.
