North Tawton Town Hall Management Committee has recently acquired a cinema license, therefore, to raise awareness, the theme for this year’s Mid Summer Festival is Films. The festival starts with the Saturday Market on Saturday 18 June and concludes with the Whist Drive on Thursday 7 July.
Due to last years huge success, Dowland are set to present the 2nd Country Fair and Dog Show, bigger and better. Attractions include two Suffolk Punch horses giving cart rides, various birds of prey including baby owls, plus a flying display (weather permitting).
Devon Cream Teas served at 15th Century Church House, South Tawton, every Sunday until the end of October. Entry to view The Church House is free. Morning Coffee served every Wednesday from July to September.
The Belstone Friends of the Children’s Hospice South West will be hosting their Secret Gardens of Skaigh on Sunday 15 May, when the homes in the lane known as Skaigh Lane, Belstone, will be opening their gardens to the public. Devon Cream Teas will be available along with plants for sale.
