My name is Adam and I am contacting you from SGOSS – Governors for Schools, a DfE funded charity, which looks to recruit volunteers to become school governors.
I have been approached by North Tawton Community Primary School to help find a new governor. I have a ‘Business Brochure’, which details the benefits of being a school governor both professionally and personally, free upon request.
This is a great opportunity to give something back to the local community as well as ensuring that local schools are being run effectively and efficiently. It is also a fantastic way to hone your skills in a different setting and learn completely new skills all together .

Governor Role
Anyone aged 18 or over and living in the UK can be a governor. You don’t need to have children or be a parent of a child at the school to become a school governor.
